.p://www.gaia-wines.gr/productsdistiThe creation of KTHMATOΣ GAIAΣ starts from the way we cultivate our privately owned vineyard in the semi-mountainous Kouchi of Nemea.Aiming for a rare wine of deep aging, we guide our vineyard so that it "concentrates" all its substances in a very small number of grapes.
The vinification is done in such a way that the grape, already dense in substances, can be expressed in the wine in the most complete and complete way. The very long maceration is the key point of the first phase of vinification. The new wine is then matured for at least 12 months in new 225lt French oak barrels. The wood of origin, the degree of charring, the way it is cut and other small details have been considered and selected so that we end up with a wine with a particularly complex personality.
KTHMA GAIAΣ is then bottled without any treatment whatsoever, trying in this way to preserve, to the maximum extent possible, the organoleptic characteristics of our wine.
A particularly deep red-violet colour is accompanied by aromas of great intensity, purity and complexity with components of fruit, wood, vanilla and cloves. The fatness, volume, body, structure and persistence of the palate complete the flavour canvas of this unusual Nemea.
This is undoubtedly a wine of very deep aging. We believe that in ideal conditions of preservation, at a temperature that will never exceed 12° C, it is a very good wine.^ο-14^οC, KTHMA GAIAS will continue to evolve into an even more complex form for at least the next decade.
