The quest to understand the name of this wine, as well as the wine itself, is now the essence of the legend. Although we are not going to reveal everything, we can say that the style of this wine reflects our belief that Akrotiri, with its Mediterranean climate, is an excellent match for blended reds. The make-up of this wine is modified from vintage to vintage to better reflect the season and the character of the ancient vines that are so integral to the charm and personality of the wine.

Taste: This wine reveals the typical Malmesbury Syrah profile on the nose, with intense spicy notes supported by ripe plum, black fruit and violet aromas. The wine has intense acidity and well-integrated tannins, with a nice texture and rounded mouthfeel. The long, elegant and juicy finish, with excellent structure from the Cabernet Sauvignon, leads us to believe that this wine has at least 8 years of ageing potential.
