Area / Location / Vineyard:
Amyndeon Plateau. Amyndeon vineyard zone. North - West Macedonia. Single vineyard "Alogos", at an altitude of 690 meters, northwest facing, overlooking Mount Voras. 69 hectares of linear, privately owned vineyard located at an altitude of 620-710m.

Vinification method & Aging:
Controlled alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel tanks with cooling jackets, maintenance of the wine "sur lie" for nine months with regular stirring. Twelve months in Allie - Bertrange medium toast oak barrels and another twelve months in bottle.

Taste characteristics:
Allowing the fruit to stay on the vine and dehydrate intensifies the aromas and flavours to the point of perfection. This is a full-bodied, full-flavored wine with rose petals, pear and apricot and the spicy floral aromas of Gewurztraminer grapes. The residual sugar is well balanced by the acidity, so the overall effect is refreshing, neither perfumed nor sour. This wine has a pleasant, long finish.

Harmony:
It is delicious served on its own or excellent with a wide variety of white fruit-based desserts such as fruit tarts, fruit cakes, pavlova and more. Greek syrupy desserts such as ravani, galaktobureko (cream & filo pastry pie) and baklava with nuts. Blue cheeses of all kinds and foie gras combine well.
