Jameson Black Barrel is the result of an exceptional blend of triple-distilled grain whisky and pot still whisky. The whisky is aged in sherry casks and double charred bourbon barrels - a technique considered by Master Coopers to "bring the wood back to life". Maturing in charred bourbon barrels concentrates the aromatic flavours of the oak.

Jameson Black Barrel develops particularly intense spicy flavours, vanilla and nuts. The texture is rich, malty and full of dried fruit, apricots and pepper notes. Black Barrel thus takes on the sweetness that makes Jameson Original's signature, while brewed with spices, nuts, sweet vanilla and fruity notes inherited from sherry casks.
