The oldest operating rum distillery in Belize, Travelers Liquors was founded by Omario Perdomo in 1953 as a blending and bottling operation, taking its name from its historical connection to serving those making the journey along the main route to Belize City. When supply became a problem, Perdomo commissioned Luis Espat to build a distillery in Belopman, eventually buying it from him in 1989. The distillery specializes in dark rums, double distilled from washed molasses in a continuous three-column still and aged mostly in charred oak barrels.

The taste profile on the bottle already reveals what the connoisseur can expect: Sweet & Spicy! And the rum delivers what it promises: a sweet blend of vanilla, caramel and spicy notes of cinnamon and nutmeg on the nose. These impressions continue on the palate, where after the initial sweetness of the toffee, spicy notes prevail and a light note of wood is added.
