The 19 aromatics that make up Citadelle are enriched, according to their profile, between one and four days - a crucial period for Citadelle to acquire its distinctive profile. It is then distilled in small copper bottles over open flames to develop its smoothness and imposing character in the mouth.

Citadelle Gin exudes light aromas of fresh flowers that are accented with more powerful citrus flavours. Once served, the juniper and aniseed aromas are more pronounced. Then the spicy side of cinnamon softens the nose, bringing a very big culinary dimension to the gin. On the palate, the fir gives way to a long, spicy aroma.

But while Citadelle offers a full aromatic richness, its three characteristics remain:
- Juniper, his signature, the basic base of Citadelle
- Citrus, its complementary fragrance, which accentuates juniper.
- Exotic, offering an extra level of enjoyment with hints of pepper, nutmeg and cinnamon.
